There are a number of online transactions do not require any form of identity or simply require a user to self-assert who they are (for example, creating a social media account).

On the other hand, there are a number of high value online transactions that require an element of certainty around who is trying to conduct the transaction (for example, online banking or e-government services).

Digital Identity is a foundational element that enables high value transactions online, by providing a greater degree of certainty around who is trying to conduct the transaction.

We believe Digital Identity is a key enabler across multiple areas - Security, Payments, Internet of Things, etc. and are in the process of launching innovative solutions over the next several months.

We are looking to hire a seasoned professional reporting to the Head of Digital Identity at TELUS.

The Technical Consultant will be expected to wear multiple hats, from acting as the technical subject matter expert for th­e Digital Identity team, to working with sales executives to help them position Digital Identity solutions that solve their customers' challenges.

This is a critical position straddling technical, business and sales skill-sets, and forms a key part of TELUS' long-term strategy of driving innovation and growth.

The Digital Identity team is responsible for taking innovative ideas and concepts, and transforming them into commercial product and service offerings.

The focus of the team is to create cost-effective solutions that can be leveraged by our business customers to add a strong layer of security around high value online transactions, while improving user convenience and privacy.

Working as a team of 'intrapraneurs', the Digital Identity portfolio has an extensive mandate that includes, but is not limited to, market opportunity assessment, business model creation, technology assessment, product and partnership development, marketing and sales enablement.

If you would like to build an entrepreneurial skill-set, while working for one of Canada's top brands, this role is for you; with a mandate of creating a portfolio of products and services from scratch, this opportunity will allow you the freedom to take an idea, and own the responsibility of nourishing it from a seed, into a sapling, into a fully blossomed tree.

Wearing different hats is a part of the game; from building a laser-targeted B2B marketing campaign, to negotiating contracts with the CEOs of potential partners, to presenting revenue forecasts to senior leadership, we are looking for someone who can do it all!

    •Deep technical knowledge of and expertise with Digital Identity or Identity and Access Management solutions •Extensive experience working collaboratively working with front line sales executives and teams to conceptualize, qualify, position and close complex solutions •"Roll up your sleeves" attitude, with the willingness to pitch in and help out in an entrepreneurial setting where circumstances may be new and ambiguous •Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build engagement and partnership across internal engineering, marketing and sales teams, as well as external technology vendors •Strategic thinking to help refine the Digital Identity portfolio's offerings for both Businesses and Consumers, creating and selling a cohesive product vision and roadmap across the organization

    •Bachelor degree in Engineering •5+ years' of technical pre-sales, technology architecture and/or technology product management experience
