BMO US Banking is seeking a senior technology leader to define and lead the Intelligent Automation strategy, driving scaled adoption of RPA and Intelligent Automation across core banking, wealth, and operations platforms.
This role will be accountable for end-to-end ownership of intelligent automation, evolving from traditional RPA alongside AI-augmented and agent-based workflows, delivering measurable business outcomes while ensuring strong governance consistent with BMO's standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the Intelligent Automation strategy for US Banking, aligning RPA, GenAI, and Agentic AI to business priorities and modernization roadmaps.
- Support automation from rule-based RPA to intelligent workflows, leveraging UiPath Autopilot, AI Agents, and AWS AI services.
- Act as a senior technology partner to business, operations, risk, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams.
- Lead enterprise adoption of UiPath including:
- Studio, Orchestrator, and Automation Hub
- Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
- Communication Mining
- UiPath Autopilot & Agentic AI
- Oversee RPA operating model, intake, prioritization, and delivery governance across multiple portfolios.
- Ensure automation solutions integrate seamlessly with core banking platforms, APIs, and cloud services.
- Exposure to AWS AI/ML models for document understanding, classification, summarization, and decision support.
- Exposure to Copilot technologies (e.g., GitHub Copilot, business Copilots) to accelerate developer productivity and business workflows.
- Exposure to human-in-the-loop automation patterns to balance efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory expectations.
- Own measurable outcomes including productivity gains, cost savings, risk reduction, and improved client/advisor experience.
- Scale automation across high-volume, document-heavy, and exception-driven processes in servicing, onboarding, KYC, and operations.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams of automation engineers, AI developers, and platform specialists.
Experience
- 12+ years in technology leadership roles (people manager) with deep experience in RPA and Intelligent Automation.
- Extensive hands-on and leadership experience with UiPath, including IDP, Communication Mining, and Agentic Automation.
- experience implementing intelligent automation within regulated industries (banking/financial services strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of AWS AI/ML services and cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of GenAI and Copilot-based solutions.
- RPA, Intelligent Automation, and AI architecture
- Agent-based and event-driven automation models
- API-based system integration
- Data privacy, AI risk, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to operate at executive level, influencing senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills translating complex Intelligent automation concepts into business value.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in large, matrixed organizations.
