The Team
Financial Crimes and Risk Management Technology team is a technology organization supporting the Banks Anti-Money Laundering efforts. We are a large and complex organization supporting an application with global user base.
 
The Role
The role of the Senior Technical Lead is pivotal to the success of our projects. The role involves a mixture of development and development coordination tasks. The incumbent will be the interface between the development and business analysis work within our team, and the larger project teams. They will also contribute themselves to analysis and development as required. This is a technical role with a coordination portion, not the other way around.
 
Some of the Key Accountabilities include:
  • Act as the first reviewer of business requirements, participate in business requirements definition
  • Act as the last reviewer of technical changes before code is released for testing
  • Coordinate production releases, change control processes and release communications
  • Perform analysis, development and integration testing activities as required
  • Create detailed tasks lists with input from team members
  • Coordinate, prioritize and report on development and analysis detailed tasks for multiple projects.
  • Review, opine and enforce standards for development and business analysis work
  • Create, maintain and enforce proper documentation practices
 
What You Will Bring to Succeed
Must have:
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development environment
  • Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle
  • SQL hands on experience: writing, optimizing, reviewing SQL code/queries (3 years minimum)
  • Business analysis/requirements gathering and review experience (3 years minimum)
  • Experience with following technologies (2 years minimum):
    • Apache/Tomcat
    • Linux
    • Oracle 12/19 Databases
  • Understanding of waterfall and agile project management practices
  • Must possess proven interpersonal, communication (verbal/written/presentation) and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation from both users and senior management.
  • Must possess good time management and organizational skills in order to effectively manage a variety of assignments from ideation to project execution.
 
Nice to have:
  • Dev Ops experience
  • Either AML subject matter experience or experience with AML applications (Oracle FCCM, Fiserv etc.)
