Reporting to the Director of Emerging Solutions, you will join a core team of Product Managers & Service Development Managers working collaboratively with vendors, partners and key business stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, Technology Strategy, Business Transformation, Care, Legal, and Regulatory & Procurement to evolve the TELUS Global Connect Platform for TELUS' machine to machine (M2M) /Internet of Things (IoT) customers. You will play a pivotal leadership role in influencing business decisions that impact our customers and the company on a global basis.

Success will be achieved in the team's ability to align platform functionality with the needs of our global M2M/IoT customer base and the capabilities of our systems and network technology. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the M2M/IoT industry, evolving wireless technologies and experience leading the development and implementation of new products and services through the service development life cycle with a customer-centric mindset. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical subject matter expertise, leading the product strategy and roadmap development and implementing new platform capabilities in collaboration with other cross-functional stakeholders at various levels of the organization, external service providers and strategic channel partners.

Here's how
    •Evolution of the TELUS Global Connect customer journey, product and commercial strategy and plan of intent, product roadmap, based on the needs of our global M2M/IoT customers •Prepare and deliver internal stakeholder updates at various levels of the organization including updates as required by internal product governance forums to secure development resources •Act as product owner to lead the design and implementation of platform capabilities as defined by the product roadmap leveraging both internal development teams and external service providers •Manage a team of cross-functional stakeholders through the ongoing Agile development and operationalization of new platform capabilities •Liaise with various business stakeholders, vendors, partners and customers to align on feature prioritization, development and product evolution of the TELUS Global Connect platform •Provide channel enablement and product subject matter expertise for customer engagements in support of TELUS' sales opportunities and funnel development •Support the creation of product marketing collateral and other supporting go-to-market material •Work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to Improve and evolve platform processes: billing, taxation, onboarding, operations, customer support, etc •Work with peers in Technology Strategy & Business Transformation to help decipher the business impact of new technology as it relates to wireless and M2M/IoT products and services •Stay current with relevant industry dynamics, technology evolution, competitor solutions and the global regulatory environment as it relates to M2M/IoT •Prepare product performance and product development updates as necessary to communicate project status to internal stakeholders •Develop and nurture key strategic industry partnerships and collaborations to drive revenue growth •Support business development activities by participating in key industry events, conferences and meetings as necessary to promote the product to prospective customers and strategic partners


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Solid understanding of the global M2M/IoT landscape and key components of the M2M/IoT value chain •Knowledge of Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) standards based e-SIM applications and technology •Knowledge of M2M/IoT service management platforms and capabilities supporting Business-to-Business (B2B) use cases •Agile service development processes and procedures •Product/service development life cycle processes and procedures •Fundamentals of design thinking and continuous improvement •High level understanding of telecommunications billing, provisioning, ordering/fulfillment and care/assure systems and supporting processes •Solid understanding of TELUS wireless products & services •Strong strategic, business and financial acumen •Excellent attention to detail, structured approach to analysis and the ability to develop rational and logical arguments •Ability to transform customer needs and requirements into business opportunities by formulating a product strategy and delivering on an implementation plan that fulfills on the customer needs •Comfortable working and communicating with all levels of management across the organization on both technical and business process discussions •Strong interpersonal and vendor/partner management skills •Strong presentation skills to a wide variety of audiences including internal & external executives and sales & marketing organizations •Positive attitude with a bias for planning, organizing, taking initiative and action •Strong leadership, project and process management skills, and the ability to lead cross functional teams •Experience working in a fast-paced, continually changing environment •University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical focus •5+ years of experience managing products through the product lifecycle from conceptualization through implementation, go-to-market and post implementation •Experience leading the development and implementation of M2M/IoT products & services •Cross-functional stakeholder management •Product strategy planning and roadmap development •Project management including progress reporting and stakeholder updates •Experience managing external partners and vendors and complex resource alignment

    •Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
