Based in our Cambridge office, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary experts and help clients solve high-impact technical challenges.
We are seeking a Senior Process Water/Wastewater Project Manager in the Process Water/Wastewater Group. The successful candidate will act as a design resource, project manager, and/or client manager within the Process Water/Wastewater Group, on local and international industrial water and wastewater treatment projects in a variety of sectors, including food processing, mining and manufacturing. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in renewable energy (waste-to-energy) projects, as well as groundwater remediation and treatment projects.
The Process Water/Wastewater Group is a small, tight-knit group of industry professionals, with team members ranging from 30 years of experience to less than one. The team provides specialized design services for clients with unique challenges, with project locations across the globe. The team has expertise in traditional physical-chemical, aerobic, and anaerobic wastewater treatment, as well as emerging contaminants and practices, including the treatment of PFAS, and the development of renewable natural gas resources from waste digestion.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $122,100 - $162,200

Your Impact
- Lead process engineering deliverables for industrial and municipal water/wastewater treatment systems across all project phases.
- Oversee wastewater characterization, bench- and pilot-scale treatability testing, development of PFDs, P&IDs, design reports, and engineering specifications.
- Manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects, including feasibility studies, options evaluations, preliminary and detailed design, and operational troubleshooting for new and existing facilities.
- Guide and mentor Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Engineers/EITs; provide technical leadership and quality review.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil, and automation teams to deliver integrated process solutions.
- Lead economic and technical evaluation of treatment technologies and major process equipment; support tendering and procurement.
- Oversee construction support, commissioning, and site-based troubleshooting, ensuring safety, quality, and operational performance.
- Prepare regulatory submissions, technical memos, and permitting documentation.
- Manage scopes, budgets, schedules, subcontracts, and health & safety/quality plans.
- Engage directly with clients, lead design reviews, manage expectations, and contribute to proposals and project planning.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- A diploma, undergraduate, or graduate degree in Chemical, Environmental, Process, or Civil Engineering.
- 15-25 years of industry experience, including 5+ years in water/wastewater treatment design or industrial process systems.
- Hands-on experience in industrial sectors such as food processing, mining, automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, petroleum, or manufacturing.
- Proven ability to manage multi-discipline engineering projects, clients, budgets, and deliverables.
- Experience developing proposals, scopes of work, and time/task matrices.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills and an interest in growing business opportunities.
- Asset qualifications: P.Eng. registration, PMP certification, and experience working across multiple jurisdictions.
