As a senior water resources professional, we would love if joined our world class Canadian team. This position requires a candidate who is prepared to take on a leadership role. You will provide technical solutions and designs, manage projects and teams, mentor and contribute to knowledge sharing and will contribute to multi-disciplinary projects both locally, regionally, and internationally. You will lead a growing Water Resources team, supported by WSP's global hydrotechnical community. Our team services projects in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Transportation, Power, and Government sectors.

What you will do:
  • Developing, managing, and supporting clients.
  • Collaboration with other senior leaders and mentoring of intermediate and junior colleagues.
  • Directing projects including technical work delivery, budget, schedule, and communications for both large, and small multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in surface water engineering, including hydrologic analysis, flood mitigation, river engineering, hydraulic infrastructure analysis and design.
  • Designing surface water management infrastructure from feasibility level to construction documentation including detailed design, tender documentation, and conducting field reviews.
  • Developing and pursuing opportunities and preparing proposals.
  • Continuing professional development for maintaining current knowledge of professional standard practice.

What you will bring to the team:
  • At least a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education) in Civil or Environmental Engineering or in Earth or Environmental Science or Environmental Science with a focus on water resources, hydrology or hydrogeology is required.
  • Valid professional designation in at least Ontario.
  • This role requires a candidate with 15 or more years of demonstrated experience in water resources consulting projects, or related work in the relevant industries.
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, communication, mentoring, and people skills.
  • High degree of motivation, strategic planning, and ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Strong client relationships and industry connections.
  • Committed to technical excellence and ability to write proposals and technical reports.
  • Fluency in other languages, such as French and Spanish, is an asset.
