The Wireless Core Network and Services DevOps team is at the forefront of leading the end-to-end architecture, design, development, deployment and operations for the next generation of networks and technologies such as 5G, IoT, AI, Virtualization, Service Orchestration and Network Automation. Our team takes pride in leading the strategy for designing and operating network and services that impact daily lives of Canadians by enabling Telecommuting, Mobile Health Services, Connected Devices, Smart Home Security and Fixed Wireless Internet Access.

We are looking for an ambitious, proactive, highly-motivated and results oriented individual to join our team. As a senior team member you will play a pivotal role in driving strategy, defining roadmaps and evolution of IoT technologies. You pride yourself on leading transformation by introducing cloud native technology, advanced software to enable automation and service orchestration. You also truly believe in the adoption of machine learning, artificial intelligence and data analytics to drive intelligent network operation that enables the efficient and creative growth of wireless networks, while reducing costs.

Here's how
    •Lead the development of IoT network orchestration and automation architecture, strategy, design, and rollout to minimize human intervention in the life cycle of wireless networks from introduction to operation
    •Work with cloud-native technologies, combining the modern technologies, practices, and products into a cohesive platform to enable network automation operation
    •Estimate scope of work required to implement the necessary architectures in order to support technical leads in the development of unified and reliable delivery plans
    •Collaborate with business and technology teams to review business requirements and recommend solutions
    •Participate in system design consulting, vendor engagements, testing and production implementations and support
    •Improve the end to end lifecycle of our services from inception and design through to deployment and operations
    •Embrace DevOps culture and best practices
    •Develop technical documentation: detail design and architecture documents
    •Use Agile engineering principles, participate in the efforts to quickly adapt to new technologies, services and applications
    •Explore Big Data from both technical and market sources, you will support the strategy that predicts future needs and proactively evolves the network


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •With your 5+ years of relevant experience, advanced technical and analytical skills, and the ability to take responsibility for the overall technical direction of the project
    •Proven track record of leading network orchestration and automation projects
    •Experience with mobility core network technologies
    •Knowledge of ONAP, ETSI, IEEE and other industry standards associations
    •Ability to work independently in an environment with high levels of ambiguity
    •Innovative thinker with critical thinking skills, curious, action and result-oriented, ability to drive improvements, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, highly adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    •Ability to manage key deliverables as part of an extended project team
    •Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
    •Demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with key stakeholders including senior management across the technology and partnering organizations
    •Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

    •Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
    •Certified Scrum Product Owner
