Position Overview:

This is a high-exposure role within the Consumer Mobility Marketing organization for a proactive and driven individual who is highly analytical, a compelling story-teller, has strong business sense, and is passionate about driving performance.

The successful candidate will own subscriber forecasting and partner with marketing/business owners by delivering data driven and actionable strategic insights.

What YOU Will Do:
    •Own monthly/quarterly forecasting and budget creation for key consumer wireless metrics based on an integration of robust historical trending analysis, strategic market movements and business initiatives impacting the metrics; identify risks and opportunities •Own and deliver on the roadmap to improve the forecasting process including building robust forecasting and market share models, integrating market research and other internal/external data sources into the forecasting process, expanding the level of granularity of customer segments, and creating presentation summaries that are easily digestible and highly informative •Synthesize complex data into a relevant, succinct and well-rounded business story and present to senior management to influence strategy/decisions •Proactively unearth actionable and data driven insights and disseminate to marketing primes to influence program changes that drive improved business performance •Lead relationships with stakeholders from finance and other business units to ensure alignment on key metrics at an overall TELUS level •Develop and articulate market/business rationale for outlooks •Perform root cause analysis on trends - the 'why' and the 'so what' and identify opportunities •Act as an intra-marketing consultant providing insights on key initiatives to cross-functional teams •Mentor junior members of the team


What YOU Bring:
    •Very strong leadership qualities and ability to influence without authority •Ability to synthesize complex data into a story and convincingly present to senior management •Advanced modelling skills with 3-5 years' experience building complex subscriber and/or financial models •Highly motivated to continuously improve products and processes •A trusted business partner with a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams •Strong quantitative analysis skills and business acumen •Detail orientated with a passion for deriving insights from data analysis •Strategic and innovative thinking, with a genuine desire to problem solve •Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Excel & PowerPoint •Experience with SAS, SQL and Domo considered a strong asset •Comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities/needs •Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment •Undergraduate university degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or Mathematics •Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is an asset •Management Consulting experience is an asset •5-8 years' Business and/or Financial Analysis, preferably in the telecommmunications/wireless industry
