The KPMG Private Client-Cross Border Tax practice helps high net worth individuals and their families with complex US and Canadian and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance and advisory issues.
We are expanding and seeking tax professionals who are passionate about continuous learning, motivated by challenges, and enjoy resolving complex tax issues.
What you will do
As a lead member of our team, you will work closely with partners and senior leadership on Canadian and US tax planning projects and compliance. Your organizational skills will enable you to direct the work of staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients, leading private client engagements.

- Working on Canadian and US individualtax planning and compliance for high net worth clients
- Working on US Estate tax and trust planning
- Planning and organizing teams for the preparation of personal tax returns and conducting and presenting tax research
- Reviewing the work of staff for accuracy and completeness
- Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients
- Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff
What you bring to the role
- Minimum5 years specializing in Canadian and US personal tax
- US Professional Accounting Designation (EA or US CPA) would be an asset
- Canadian CPA is an asset
- Experience with trust taxation and estate planning is an asset
- Excellent people management skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
