The Global Audit People team plays a key role in shaping and delivering the critical priorities within the Global Audit People Strategy, including Audit Workforce Today and Tomorrow (AWTT) Priorities.

Role Summary

Global Audit People & Strategy are seeking an Associate Director to support the Global Head of People - Audit, with strategic Audit initiatives. This role reports directly to the Global Head of People - Audity.

What you will do

Key Accountabilities
  • Play a key role in shaping and delivering the critical priorities within the Global Audit People strategy, including Audit Workforce Today and Tomorrow (AWTT) priorities
  • Have ownership and lead delivery against specific elements of the Global Audit People strategy, including:
    • Evolution of the Global Audit & Assurance technical core competency framework
    • Shaping the audit people experience through implementation of core competencies within priority people processes (e.g. performance, learning, career paths)
    • Embedding Head of Audit accountabilities (through Global Audit performance and acknowledgment process)
    • Supporting the People strategy and execution of KDN for Audit
    • Enabling the ethical workplace and communications People & Culture strategy
  • Provide thought leadership at this pivotal point in the evolution of the Audit profession and the people experience to include recommendations to address the people priorities as set out in the strategy
  • Maintain a laser focus on quality and consistency, whilst enhancing the people experience within Audit
  • Escalate unresolved issues and potential solutions to the Global Head of People - Audit
  • Bring innovative ways of working to drive change and identify solutions to complex problems
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and change management skills in managing interdependencies including working with member firms, wider Global Audit team and Global People colleagues
  • Maintain and track progress against the overall Global Audit People and Culture project plan, including approach, tasks, durations, dependencies, planning assumptions, resource allocation, and facilitate project team meetings to ensure delivery against plan with an agile approach to deadlines considering changing priorities and emerging risks
  • Proactively identify interdependencies across bodies of work and manage project risk factors, anticipating and resolving project issues
  • Comply with and anticipate all reporting requirements, measuring project progress against agreed objectives and success criteria
  • Create effective, high quality and impactful communications including presentations, white papers as well as verbal updates (when required) for the Global Audit Steering Group, Global Audit Leadership Team, the Regional Audit working group, Global Audit Quality Council, Global People Steering Group, Audit Workforce Today and Tomorrow group, Heads of Audit/ People and wider
  • Take an agile approach to working within a small team to contribute to collective and changing priorities
  • Work in collaboration with members of the Global Audit Leadership team to achieve the collective goals

What you bring to the role

Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Comfort with leveraging technology and systems that support our Global Audit and Global People processes, excellent project management skills, experiencing in prioritizing, organizing, planning & executing projects from definition through implementation involving internal personnel across the global firm and possibly external resources.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, supervisory, organizational and strong influencing skils with strong analytical ability.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members, sponsors, functional leads and senior management.
  • Ability to work cross-border virtually, and across time zones as needed.

Experience & Knowledge
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, and 7+ years relevant work experience, ACA, CPA, CIPD depending upon background, a comprehensive knowledge of HR/People and Change in KPMG and an interest in applying this within a function or prior Audit experience with an interest in People and Culture.
  • Significant experience working in a complex international or diverse cross-cultural environment, ideally gained in a professional services firm.
