JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Manager, Audit Global Regulatory Program Management will provide functional oversight of Internal Audit deliverables to multiple regulatory agencies in Canada and other global jurisdictions outside of North America.
This individual will manage a team responsible for ensuring the centralized awareness, coordination, tracking and quality assurance of all Audit-related jurisdictional regulatory commitments and requests as well as responses to findings. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for reporting that supports Audit leadership in managing regulatory risk and relationships, including key insights into current and emerging trends in the context a dynamic regulatory environment.
The successful candidate will also understand the financial services industry's regulatory environment more broadly and as such, be able to assist the department in effectively and efficiently delivering high-quality and thoughtful regulatory responses / remediation that fulfill both the spirit and the letter of regulatory requests and findings.
Proactive and thoughtful coordination / collaboration with regional counterparts will also be essential to ensure consistency and alignment with Internal Audit's posture across regulatory regimes as well as to support continuous improvement of Audit's regulatory management framework.
This individual will have a strong work and ownership ethic and likewise be exceptionally organized, with superior project and time management as well as leadership-level communications and interpersonal skills. A keen attention to detail is essential, balanced by a pragmatic and logical approach.
The ability to critically and continuously evaluate operational processes and leverage technology for efficiency gains and impact are a must.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversees the Global Audit Regulatory Program Management team
- Independently manages all BAU jurisdictional regulatory management processes for Internal Audit, including continuous critical evaluation for efficiency and impact opportunities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for Global Audit Regulatory Program Management with respect to all Audit-related regulatory matters, fostering deep relationships and outcomes-driven interactions with Audit leadership in meeting regulatory expectations
- Serves as a trusted advisor to Internal Audit leadership on regulatory affairs and provides relevant, timely and actionable insights based on analyses of exam/review results, regulatory trends, industry best practices and enterprise business strategy
- Supports regulatory exam and ongoing supervision coordination, overseeing the intake, socialization and tracking of regulatory exams and requests as well as the aggregation, quality control review & challenge and delivery of responses to regulatory relationship managers and/or regulators
- Coordinates clarifications on and the confirmation of expectations around regulatory exams, findings and requests
- Tactically assists, as needed, on less complex tasks during periods of higher volumes and time / resourcing constraints
- Liaises between Internal Audit and internal regulatory, compliance and legal teams as well as exam staff, as necessary
- Provides thought leadership and strategic direction on Audit-related regulatory management.
- Provides timely, relevant and consistent guidance, mentorship and feedback to support delivery of high-quality work product as well as facilitate professional and personal development

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including people management
- Previous regulator or audit experience is preferred
- Undergraduate degree required; relevant professional certifications, legal designations, or equivalent education is a plus
