We are seeking a Senior Kahua Solution Consultant to lead the technical delivery of Kahua-based construction technology solutions. This role, within KPMG Canada's Managed Services team, will drive the design, development, and integration of custom applications that transform how our clients deliver major infrastructure programs.

The ideal candidate is an expert in Kahua, with a comprehensive understanding of both functional and technical aspects. You are a strategic thinker and an effective communicator, with proven experience in enterprise-level construction software deployments.

What you will do
  • Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and development of Kahua applications.
  • Define technical strategy, coding standards, and best practices for Kahua solution delivery.
  • Architect integrations with ERP, scheduling, and document control systems using APIs and automation.
  • Serve as the technical lead and advisor for both onshore and offshore development teams.
  • Act as the developer on projects when required.
  • Guide the team in sprint planning, code reviews, and solution testing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of recurring bugs and implement preventive measures to reduce their occurrence.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize troubleshooting, resolution, and documentation efforts.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of unit and system testing practices.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers to build team capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for KPMG Canada and our clients.
  • Stay current with Kahua platform releases and continuously enhance solution design.
What you bring to the role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise application development, with expertise in APIs, data structures, algorithms, and graphical user interfaces.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with the Kahua platform.
  • Proven ability to lead and direct application development teams, particularly in construction technology and client-facing roles within the public sector.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder capital infrastructure projects.
  • Established track record in developing and implementing program management and controls guidelines.
  • Extensive experience in overseeing kBuilder application development and Kahua configuration.
  • Proficiency in scripting, integration (REST APIs), and application lifecycle management.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital project workflows and construction management systems.
  • Extensive experience developing kBuilder applications and configuring Kahua.
  • Strong project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and DevOps principles.
KPMG - BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
