Job Description:
This role goes beyond diagnosing problems and recommending improvements. The successful candidate is accountable for designing, implementing, and measuring process improvements that materially improve marketing effectiveness, speed and quality while supporting the enhancements of the end to end process. This role is accountable for ensuring that recommendations translate into real, measurable change. Success is defined not by the quality of the recommendation but by the impact of the implemented solution.

CUSTOMER & COLLEAGE
- Collect, analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data acquired through interviews, surveys, internal and external reports)
- Develop a deep understanding of customer & colleague needs, motivations, pain points and decision drivers
- Identify emerging behaviors, market trends, and assess their implications for standard operating procedures and growth
- Understand end to end journeys and support the business to deliver the brand through customer experience.
- Influence Business Strategy; provide actionable insights, thoughtful advice to executives within the business, be a trusted advisor to business partners for all marketing processes. Build and maintain close working relationships with key business partners to understand and influence business strategic priorities, and direction, ensuring that business objectives can be converted into effective marketing plans or customer strategies
- Ensure designed processes are rigorous, unbiased and fit for purpose with a bias towards automation of manual processes leveraging tools and AI
- Be comfortable surfacing insights that challenge status quo and assumptions to driver smarter marketing decisions
- Contribute to a culture of customer centric thinking across the organization
Delivery Excellence & Process Simplification
- Demonstrated ability to identify, design and implement marketing process improvements, not just recommend them
- Experience taking initiatives from problem definition through execution, adoption, and stabilization
- Comfort owning outcomes even when execution requires influence rather than direct authority
- Ability to translate strategic recommendations into clear operating models, workflows, and playbooks
- Strong focus on defining success metrics before implementation begins
- Clear understanding of Marketing technologies and their utilization in the end to end workflows
- Experience establishing baseline performance, tracking progress, and quantifying improvements
- Ability to course correct based on data and feedback rather than treating delivery as 'done' at launch
- Experience improving marketing workflows (e.g. campaign planning, approvals, intake, optimization, etc.)
- Skilled in simplifying complexity and eliminating unnecessary friction in marketing operations
- Demonstrated bias towards testing, piloting, and iterating rather than extended analysis
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where perfect information is unbailable
- Experience acting as strategic advisor and delivery lead
COMPLIANCE
- Ability to design and implement marketing processes that embed compliance/risk controls, rather than relying on manual after the fact reviews
- Experience balancing risk mitigation with operational efficiency
- Capability to identify where automation, standardization and guardrails can reduce compliance risk
- Working knowledge of marketing related / Bank related regulations and policies
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear operational steps for marketers and ability to translate marketing steps for control partners
- Experience defining and implementing preventative and detective controls within the marketing workflows
- Ability to design right-sized approval frameworks that align with the banks risk appetite
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required
- Masters / MBA in relevant field of work is an asset
- 10+ years relevant experience
