Digital Marketing is the most dynamic and fastest growing marketing area that is critical for a successful future for Staples Canada as we progress into the digital era. What makes retail digital marketing different is the opportunity to work with vendors directly. As the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, development and execution of our co-op paid digital marketing programs for Staples. You will manage Staples Google Search Ads and Display program and be accountable for meeting revenue and cost targets, providing accurate and timely reporting, and driving strategy for current and future initiatives. Each day will be fast-paced, challenging, rewarding and meaningful and you will be inspired to bring your best, every day.

Specifically, you will:
    •Lead and develop paid search marketing strategies and campaigns for Staples.ca, Solution Shop, and Staples Preferred for B2C and B2B customers
    •Ideate and execute campaigns across all ad formats including Text, DSA, Local, Discovery, Video, Shopping and Display by completing keyword research, targeting, writing ad copy, and media planning.
    •Analyze of all campaigns' performance and continuous improvements to achieve KPIs as defined by the company, including but not limited to ROAS, CPC, revenue and profitability targets
    •Conduct competitive research to keep on top of areas of opportunity for Staples
    •Collaborate and manage Google partner team and external vendors


Some of what you need
    •2-4 years of experience performing digital marketing as it pertains to the role
    •Bachelor Level degree in Business or Marketing or a similar program
    •Google Ads platform experience
    •Marketing and/or eCommerce experience required, preferably with a multi-channel retailer
    •Experience managing digital marketing budgets in a programmatic environment
    •Experience of development of B2C and B2B campaigns
    •Experience in managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns to maximize performance
    •Strong hands on experience with Google Ads and Google Merchant Centre platforms
    •Previous experience using analytics platforms (GA360 etc.) and experience working across multiple data sources
    •Adept at managing relationships with and influencing vendors
    •Highly proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports (including the use of pivot tables, charts, and vlookups)
    •Ability to manage multiple projects and deal with changing priorities
    •Good detail orientation, effective collaboration and communication skills; ability to create and explain technical concepts in laymen's terms
