What will your typical day look like?

As an experienced Senior Consultant / Manager you will work in a collaborative team environment to analyze issues and address client challenges related to credit risk. As a Subject Matter Expert and Engagement Manager your projects may include risk / regulatory transformation projects (i.e. operating models, technology implementations, growth and de-risking strategies, etc.), retail and non-retail risk advisory engagements (i.e. retail life-cycle strategies, commercial and corporate industry and sector reviews, portfolio management, etc.), and helping clients on data-driven risk strategies to support ROE optimization.

You will have a hybrid role, which encompasses developing the local Canadian marketplaces. In addition, you will have the opportunity to deliver national and international projects at mid-sized and large Financial Institutions.

Experienced Senior Consultants and Managers are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:
  • Delivering projects independently, under the guidance of an Engagement Senior Manager and Partner while executing on the technical areas and interacting with the clients to provide advice.
  • Provide end-to-end oversight for the delivery of financial risk management advisory and assurance projects for financial services industry clients.
  • Proactively engage with Deloitte leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with clients.
  • Manage and lead a small team of diverse team of talented professionals and provide ongoing coaching to them to enable them to reach their highest potential
  • Develop POVs (point-of-view), market analysis, white papers and solutions we can offer to our clients to support them in the best possible way.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in credit policy, credit strategy development, risk analytics, portfolio management or related analytics field.
  • Strong understanding of credit products, risk systems, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in ROE analysis and implementing strategies that enhance financial performance.
  • Advanced technical skills in SAS, SQL, Python, or R or willingness to learn an asset
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business lines.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering strategic outcomes.
  • High initiative, adaptability, and ownership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment with strong project management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, as required.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000 (Senior Consultant) or $101,000 - $169,000 (Manager), and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
