A Senior Consultant position is currently open in the Toronto office to support banking clients. The ideal candidate is a professional with a proven track record of working in a team and delivering exceptional client service. The role involves delivering banking solutions on client facing and on site engagements where required.

KPMG's Banking technology practice offers advice and solution delivery to clients on Core Banking, Payments and Data challenges, with the goal of enhancing the value that these solutions bring to their organization. The team collaborates with client leadership and delivery teams to navigate various technological and implementation challenges. They assist with transformation opportunities and deliver complex banking, payments and data solutions to both the client's business and IT departments. The projects undertaken include strategy development, governance review, process assessment, enterprise architecture, solution selection, design, delivery, testing, deployment, and program management.

What you will do
As a Senior Consultant in our Banking technology practice, you will use your strong technology delivery acumen and be a key member of a high performing team. You'll be learning from some of the best in the financial services industry and growing your personal skillset by :
  • You will be at the forefront of our banking, payment or data solutions ecosystem, leveraging your expertise to assess, capture, and translate intricate business issues into well-structured banking, payment or data solutions. Your proficiency in both operational and technical domains will enable you to develop comprehensive work stream plans that drive impactful change
  • As a valued team member, you will take ownership of defining, and successfully delivering complex projects
  • Designing, building, launching, optimizing, and expanding full-stack banking, payment or data solutions that precisely align with business requirements
  • Working with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Participate in non-functional requirement gathering workshops, you will gain a deep understanding of our clients' business needs. This insight will empower you to tailor functional and technical solutions and product demonstrations that resonate with various stakeholders.
  • Performance modelling, performance and resiliency scripting and testing to ensure the solution meets client requirements
  • In the pre-sales process, you will support in preparing compelling marketing materials such as presentations and demos to address potential customers' business requirements. Your expertise in showcasing the value of our solutions will drive new business opportunities
What you bring to the role
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field - graduate degree is an asset
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting in banking solutions
  • Experience in implementing a Core Banking, Payments and/or Data solution in an ecosystem
  • Comfortable to work with clients and superior communication skills
  • Experience across the project lifecycle of planning, design, build, test and deployment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and define problems and develop creative solutions to address client requirements clearly and articulately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently once provided with direction but have an affinity for teamwork and relationship building
  • Individuals who take deep personal accountability for their work, have a passion for excellence, driven to achieve their full potential and understand the value of building relationships with clients, future clients, their communities, the global firm and each other
