As the Business Systems Analyst for the Ministry of Health (MOH) Health Network System (HNS) managed service, you will:
    •Work in a client-facing role in a fast-paced team environment where we are managing multiple projects and client requirements on an ongoing basis
    •Assist the client and software development team with business requirements, technical requirements, and design
    •Serve as the key conduit to business stakeholders for solution requirements and analysis and to work with solution architects/delivery team members to define and manage requirements
    •Lead PreCAB and TCAB meetings
    •A regular update of the HNS CMDB Configuration Items
    •Perform monthly reporting reviews and validations

You have a solid analytical and consultative mindset, thorough understanding of application tiers, network and IT architecture, data visualization, understanding drug and pharmacy industry, and possess vital planning, documentation and reporting skills. One must be self-sufficient, fast-paced, and have a passion for scaling operations through automation.

Here's how
    •Reviewing work requests and managing intake process, and ensuring requirements are aligned with business and solution vision
    •Expertise in creating and documenting clear and detailed Business Requirements, Use Cases and System Functional Requirement
    •Work as a subject matter expert to review requirements for the new work request and collaborate with the client, project managers, technical resources, and product manager to define the requirements
    •Provide subject matter expertise to guide the solution design and contribute to the overall requirements
    •Interfaces with Business Stakeholders and IT teams to define, gather, and document business processes and needs; translating into detailed documentation
    •Work with TELUS Health HNS team to provide work estimate and communicate the estimate to the client
    •Act as lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CMDB and Remedy Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) deployment of Configuration and Change Management modules, building data relationships as well as risk and impact models for IT infrastructure management functions
    •Responsible for the Configuration Management and Infrastructure Change Control
    •Lead internal team PreCAB and client-facing TCAB to review upcoming CRQs and post-implementation reviews
    •Ensure that all configuration items following the Change Management process meet criteria and are authorized and maintained in a timely, accurate and consistent manner within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) according to contractual agreement
    •Design, prepare, and validate weekly, monthly, semi-annually strategic trend reports to measure KPIs and submit to the client
    •Participate and take ownership of high-quality internal IT and business unit (client-facing) stakeholder communication meetings
    •Assist with the administration of the team's SharePoint sites



Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •10+ years of business analysis experience in software development, IT industry, or healthcare
    •University degree in computer science, business, or equivalent work experience
    •Hands-on experience in applying Business Analysis industry standard and best practices
    •Hands-on experience in managing work requests and intake process
    •Hands-on ITSM and CMDB knowledge and experience
    •ITIL ITSM experience, including CMDB CI management
    •SDLC experience
    •Analytical thinking and using Business Analysis techniques to problem-solving, requirements analysis, business process modelling, and requirements management
    •MS Office Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
    •Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to express ideas in ways that are appropriate to the target audience
    •Process-oriented thinking and character

Nice-to-haves
    •CCBA or CBAP certification
    •PMP certification
    •ITIL v3 certification
    •Software development experience
    •IT Methodologies: Waterfall and Agile experience
    •Experience working in Healthcare or Government
    •Consolidation tools experience BMC Remedy ITSM, CMDB, Jira, Quality Centre (QC)
    •Microsoft Excel expert user level
    •Health insurance claim adjudication processing of drug/pharmacy experience and knowledge is highly desirable
