Our mandate is to help the organization drive change on their data transformation journey, and to deliver a great customer experience. The three main pillars that support our mandate are: 1) provide data governance expertise and project management support; 2) portfolio oversight to identify synergies and opportunities, while minimizing risk; and, most importantly, 3) deliver value to our customers (both internal and external) through our data.

The Senior Business Analyst, Portfolio Management Operations, International Banking Chief Data Office (IB CDO) role requires strong experience in project (and/or portfolio) management, reporting and business visualization, using data for solving business problems, as well as a drive for innovation, flexibility, collaboration, and effective teamwork. We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual to work with the International Banking Portfolio Team to support the Data Transformation Program in the International Banking Chief Data Office.


• Key contributor to the overall success of the Data Office globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives
• Champions the adoption of a data culture
• Data Governance Target Operating Model: Contribute to the overall success of standing up Data Governance in the Bank, by gathering assessments, doing gap analysis and helping to create an action plan to address gaps, to help priority International Banking countries mature their Data Governance target operating model. Ensures data governance and management capabilities are implemented in accordance with enterprise policies and standards.
• International Banking Portfolio Reporting-Help the organization identify synergies, align roadmaps, and minimize risk through reporting of project status, project engagements, stakeholder engagements, financials, etc,
o Includes creating, maintaining and updating reports and dashboards in Excel and/or SalesForce
o Visualizing reports using Business Intelligence tools like Power of BI (predominantly) and/or Tableau
o Identify areas to improve in the existing reporting process
o Use of JIRA to report progress, risks, issues and/or decisions.
• Support Data Delivery- Help the team deliver bank-wide data management initiatives, including regulatory and other strategic initiatives, in Canada and other countries, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Collaborates with partners to develop and enhance the Bank's overall data governance and management capabilities, policy, practices, and supporting technology
• Stakeholder Management-Work closely with various areas of the Data Office, as well as Analytics, Technology and our International Banking partners to answer questions, provide guidance, persuade and negotiate
o Establish clear communication and positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Support team on ad-hoc requests from different stakeholders
• Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience in project and/or program and/or portfolio management; specifically in agile methodology (preferred, but not required)
• Experience in business or systems analysis
• Spanish language fluency is strongly preferred
• Strong reporting and/or business visualization experience
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, operational efficiency
• Experience with strategic influencing and management of cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience with SalesForce and/or Power of BI and/or Jira would be an asset
• Experience with data governance, Data Quality and general data management tools and techniques
• Minimum qualifications:
o 3+ years in project and/or program and/or portfolio management
o 2+ years of business/systems analysis
o 2+ years in Financial Services
o 2+ years in Data Management or Data Governance
o Degree or diploma in IT, Business, or Data & Analytics preferred
o Knowledge of financial regulatory environment is preferred
o Spanish language fluency
