Job Description:

The successful candidate will support the delivery of complex Know Your Customer (KYC) change initiatives on behalf of Canadian Personal Banking's KYC ART. The Senior Business Analyst (BA) plans, manages, and leads requirements activities to drive continuous value and support the achievement of business Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). The BA applies critical thinking and produces high-quality requirements that enable measurable business outcomes.

The Senior BA provides expertise in Requirements Management, alignment to OKRs, Operating Models, and Quality and Traceability Standards, while offering leadership that supports business benefits and operational efficiencies.

The Senior BA demonstrates the International Institute of Business Analysts' (IIBA) Core Competency Model standards.

Job Accountabilities :
  • Plans, manages, and leads the end-to-end requirements process
  • Partner and collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document high-quality business requirements
  • Analyzes impacts to customers, colleagues, stakeholders, processes and technology solutions to achieve business results
  • Supports and validates the creation of the right problem (value proposition)/opportunity statements to solve for
  • Drives and validates tangible business benefits and success criteria to deliver value to customers/colleagues in conjunction with business segment OKRs
  • Research and analyze current business process flows and identify required future-state enhancements to address regulatory changes
  • Define and document business data requirements, rules, and data lineage impacts as required
  • Establish and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Provides thought leadership and challenges the status quo
  • Connects the dots within/across business, technology and biz-tech teams
  • Use impact and influence skills to drive informed decisions
  • Mentors and guides Junior BAs, BSAs, Pod members and Partners
  • Participates in and contributes to the Analyst Practice Community of Interest
  • Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with key partners and promotes a positive work environment

Additional Information/Job Requirements :
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis experience delivering complex regulatory, transformation, or technology initiatives within large organizations programs/projects
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Display resiliency and flexibility, comfortable with change
  • Ability to work in ambiguity; ability to conceptually understand and summarize technical scenarios
  • Experience in regulatory delivery projects (especially AML/KYC) is an asset
  • Financial Institution/Banking experience and knowledge of Personal Banking is an asset
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile and SAFe methodologies (and ability to quickly learn TD Scaled Agile Framework)
  • SAFe Certification is an asset
  • CBAP Certification is an asset
