Position: Full-Time Security Guard
Site: Respect Rx Pharmacy - (Vanier)
Hours: Monday - Friday 0800 - 1700
Overtime Method: Employee Standards Act (ESA)
Payrate: $20.00/hour ($21.40/hour after probation)

Job Description:


•Proactive & reactive security patrols
•Response to incidents
•Report writing
•Investigate routine incidents
•De-escalate situations involving dealing, drinking, and fighting to ensure that all areas are covered and secured at all times
•Ensure that users are not loitering or injecting outside of the pharmacy
•Access control into building
•Keep the entrance to pharmacy clear for pedestrian traffic
•Intervene in medical emergencies
•Liase with emergency responders, clients, and Paladin management
•Surveillance monitoring
•Patient Watches
•Verbal & physical intervention as necessary
Job Requirements:


•1 year experience working in Security; preferably working in healthcare
•Valid Ontario Security Guard License
•Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
•Ability to work in a fast-pace and flexible environment while maintaining the utmost professionalism
•Candidates with experience working in Healthcare and Mental Health will be given priority
•Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
•Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
•Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
•Moderate physical activity, standing and walking for long periods of time in outdoor weather conditions
