City: GTA - All Campus
Averaging Agreement : Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Or ESA Overtime after 44 Hours
Status: Full-Time
Hours: Continental Rotation12 Hours Or 8 Hours (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.50/ an hour

Job Description:
• Be an accurate and dependable resource having knowledge about services on campus
• Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of the Campus and Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach
• Be attentive to the needs of the student, faculty and staff dents as well as be able to build relationships with the college community.
• Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the college's diverse community.
• Be able to facilitate an environment that allows students to meet their academic goals.
• Encourage students to make connections with College resources and the community by building a safe and supportive environment.
• Help develop an atmosphere in which students have concern and respect for the rights of others
• Assist student, staff and faculty during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
• Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly & Ability to work alone or in a team
• Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols to build relationships with students, staff and faculty as well as be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
• Ability to write detailed incident reports for all emergency and day to day activities
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, students and other persons
• Ability to de-escalate a crisis situation, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Logging in/out of Key, Radio and pager audits and Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
• Report any unsafe working conditions in any/all departments Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
• Respond to all types of occurrences and patrol interior and exterior, including boiler room patrols
Job Requirements:
• Must have a Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Must have a Valid WSIB approved First Aid & CPR Lvl C Certificate
• Can you provide proof of vaccination for 2 approved doses against Covid19?
• Must have a Valid G or G2 Ontario Drivers License
• Physical Demands; excessive walking, standing, exposed to all weather conditions and extreme temperatures
• Utilize two-way radio and computer applications
• Must participate in professional development and on site leveling system requirements
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
Valid G or G2 Drivers License
Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
COVID Double Vaccinated
Vulnerable Sector Check
A Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
Authorized to legally work in Canada
Use of Force in Class Training
