--What will your typical day look like?The Resource Manager (RM) is a critical role for the practice and is responsible for designing an optimum staffing model that will set up large fast paced projects for success. You will be key to identifying talent with the right skill sets for varying roles on projects and will leverage creative problem solving, critical thinking and your ability to identify and leverage team members' strengths. You will balance project needs and practitioner's career aspirations, while making designing staffing models that optimize project and business operations. You will build lasting relationships with your leadership team and practitioners to contribute to the growth and development of the practice and the success of each individual project. Throughout this role you will be applying a structured project management and resourcing approach to report needs and assess opportunities to leadership.

The Resource Manager will:
• Optimize utilization across the assigned Offering(s) by making strategic staffing recommendations and decisions
• Understand client needs and negotiate where necessary. Be adaptable to varied client personalities and situations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of practitioner interests and preferences and stay closely connected to them to stay abreast of personal circumstances and changes in these preferences
• Think critically to identify short term and long resourcing needs to identify gaps, opportunities and risks
• Determine the best way to track performance and keep resources motivated and on track to meet milestones
• Proactively review and understand your staffing position to provide meaningful insights on trends, forecast, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern
• Work under tight deadlines to match demand with the right fit of resource on an as needed basis.
• Seek opportunities to contribute to the achievement of the business' or the Firm's initiatives, goals and/or priorities.
• Maintain a solid understanding of your offering pipeline, plan and forecast in order to manage available resources and advise on future supply and demand

The practice has developed technology solutions that provide class action claims processing, management, and administration services, tailored to each class action as well as the relevant needs of stakeholders.
Our Class Action Services team offers guidance to litigators, corporate counsel and the judiciary by providing multidisciplinary expertise through every stage of the class action lifecycle, from the earliest identification of a potential lawsuit through to court judgment and the administration of the negotiated settlement

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a resource management, project management, or recruitment role preferably within a professional services environment.
• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma.
• Passion for client service and focused achievement of business results.
• Strong relationship building and conflict resolution skills with experience engaging leaders at all levels and partnering effectively with internal teams.
• Strategic and innovative thinking skills with strong problem-solving and project management skills, including the ability to understand the financial impact of relevant options.
• Ability to work and navigate effectively in a matrix organization/partnership structure.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with large teams.
Rigour, flexibility, humility, integrity and professionalism
• Technical skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, charts etc.) and willing to embrace technology.
Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively work and inspire others in large teams
Superior verbal and written communications skills including oral presentation and building business case.
An asset to have but not mandatory:
Experience in consulting or providing external advisory services
Demonstrated strong project problem diagnosis, critical thinking and a keen attention to detail
