Position Summary
Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Northern Health.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate and Reporting to the Regional Manager and in accordance with broader organizational objectives, the Regional Nursing Lead functions as a leader and expert in the field of the assigned program area(s) and is responsible for contributing to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Northern Health strategic policy and initiatives of the assigned program area(s). This position will link with internal and external partners in supporting the assigned program area(s) strategies and will integrate knowledge related to nursing practice, health information, population health, health equity, teaching and learning, community development, and social marketing initiatives. The Regional Nursing Lead provides clinical guidance to Northern Health staff and physicians as well as developing policy and provides educational opportunities to support nursing staff and other service providers to implement the assigned program area(s) strategies and interventions. Responsible for supervising staff.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00

Qualfications
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Minimum two year's recent related public health nursing experience including program planning, implementation and evaluation experience and recent related supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training, and experience.
• Valid BC Driver's License.

• Knowledge Integration - Using factual information, prior learning and basic principles and procedures to support decisions and actions with relevant research-based evidence. Integrates best practice from nursing and health-related disciplines and the humanities, arts and sciences disciplines into professional practice.
• Knowledge Transfer - Ability to educate, facilitate, and share information in a variety to venues using a variety of methods. Ability to translate directives, policy, standards and research into practice.
• Human Caring and Relationship Centered Practice - Ability to promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others, sensitive to diverse cultures and preferences, client advocacy and social justice concerns.
• Communication - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the clients, families, the public, medical staff and the members of the interdisciplinary team using verbal, written and computer communication means.
• Critical Thinking - Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data (from multiple sources) to problem-solve effectively.
• Tolerance of Ambiguity: Able to deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Teaching - Ability to transmit information intended to instruct clients and others about topics essential to health care and well-being.
• Assessment and Intervention - Demonstrated ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments (clinical and diagnostic reasoning) and provide nursing care through appropriate/ prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety type interventions.
• Equipment - Demonstrated computer skills including the use of Meditech and Windows based programs. Demonstrated data analysis skills including appropriate data analysis and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability in the use of e-mail and word processing. Ability to operate related equipment including proven ability to utilize computer technology.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
