A career in our Tax and Rewards practice, within PwC Private, will provide the opportunity to help private companies with a range of business advisory needs such as audit, tax compliance, and planning to help improve their operational efficiency and to free up time that can be spent focusing on business strategy. You'll have the opportunity to experience the entire business life cycle of a private company from inception to growth, maturity and transition. Our team helps our clients develop, design and implement plans to achieve their personal wealth goals and ensure maintenance for future generations. You'll focus on analysing the tax efficiencies of income tax, investment, insurance and risk, and other lifestyle investments planning to establish a foundation for financial longevity.\"

Purpose-led work you'll be part of


As a Tax and Rewards Manager you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop new skills outside of your comfort zone.
• Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively.
• Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
• Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
• Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.
• Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations.
• Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
• Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.
• Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
• Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarizing key points.
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.


Experiences and skills you'll use to solve


• Canadian and/or U.S. experience with the taxation of incentive and deferred compensation an asset
• Licenced to practice in the province or territory of work.
• Conduct and manage tax research and due diligence research on equity and incentive compensation matters, including:
• Stock options and other equity plans;
• Deferred cash plans;
• Carried and profits interests; and
• Other incentive and retirement benefits.
• Conduct reviews of client equity and incentive plan compensation and draft memoranda on employee and employer tax consequences; and
• Communicate professionally with all clients and the Canada Revenue Agency.
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
