CHALK RIVER, ONTARIO

The Opportunity:

WSP is seeking a Project Coordinator who will assist in leading a complex multi-disciplinary civil and construction remediation project in Chalk River Ontario.

A day in the life:
  • Participate in a team environment, working closely with and supporting the Project Manager.
  • Lead project coordination activities that contribute to the management of projects.
  • Prepare, review, revise, and distribute reports, correspondences and other documentation within allotted schedules and budgets, under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Monitor team compliance to project deliverable schedule.
  • Communicate with the project team and lead the monitoring and control of budgets and schedules.
  • Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Review invoices and billing summaries for accuracy against project budgets.
  • Support risk management and lessons learned process.
  • Ensure project files are kept up to date using a specified document control system.


What you'll bring to WSP ...
  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management or a related field.
  • More than four years of related work experience coordinating construction projects.
  • Experience in environmental construction projects considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to be proactive, organized, methodical and detailed oriented.
  • Familiar with supporting the Project Manager with schedule, design and construction process.
  • Software proficiency: MS Office, Adobe, Oracle
  • Eligible for Reliability security clearance (individual must have 3 full years of verifiable history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia).
