Rogers Sports & Media is seeking a Program Manager of Original Content to work on our exciting slate  of original content across all genres of programming - factual, scripted, digital and branded  content - for all channels and platforms who specialises in Canadian content.  
The Program Manager will be a reliable and motivated self starter, who can quickly adapt to a rapidly changing environment, who possesses a range of experience that can support the creative, technical and business affairs needs of the original programming department in an intelligent and dynamic manner.  
This highly organised individual is passionate about original content and will be tasked to ensure all stages of development, production, post and network delivery to broadcast,  are being tracked and managed in a timely manner, with clear communication, while balancing shifting priorities,  so that all deliverables are secured while ensuring key stakeholders are updated and in sync.  
What You'll Do...
  • Manage the submissions for all pitches and content proposals, communicating directly with the independent production community, internal and external stakeholders, booking meetings, tracking releases, participating in pitch meetings, reviewing and evaluating materials as required to assist the Director of Original Content. 
  • Provide coverage on development materials, treatments, proposals, scripts, cuts, casting and analysis of other creative assets and business affairs documentation as required.
  • Previous experience providing coverage of scripted material and the ability to read large volumes of material quickly is essential.  
  • Previous experience reviewing budgets, financing scenarios, recoupment schedules and tax credit calculations a valuable asset.
  • Provide organisational, analytical  and communications support for Director and Executives on shows in development, production and post-production.
  • Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of network deadlines and asset needs.  Organise and participate in network meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between Original Programming, internal and  external stakeholders, including programming, media operations, digital, marketing, social media, publicity, sales etc. to manage and track all contractual deliverables including creative show materials, digital, sales, marketing and promotional assets,  business affairs and technical deliverables.
  • Manage the technical delivery of original media content for Rogers Sports & Media channels, platforms, including online, VOD, mobile platforms , YouTube and social media.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal tracking documents, charts, spreadsheets, presentations and reports including extensive internal network of project folders.   
  • Support administrative and departmental tasks such as creation of PowerPoint decks and Microsoft Excel charts for internal Rogers needs and external industry events as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of business affairs documentation as required, including but not limited to greenlight forms,  letters of intent and broadcast letter support forms.
  • Prepare regular updates and flag deadlines and issues in a timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, tax credits, funding agencies, CAVCO, CRTC, PNI, CMF, ACTRA, WGC and Independent Production Funds.
What You Bring...
  • Deep understanding of the Canadian independent production and broadcast industry.
  • Experience in broadcast management and TV production
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint
