As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing programs across multiple platforms with responsibilities of conceptualization through Delivery and Support. You will manage the development and implementation process of specific projects across the organization with assigned teams/projects with a focus on delivery. You will develop roadmaps and execute on strategies for the designated teams/projects. You will also oversee the designated teams/projects and coordinate with the cross functional teams to provide visibility into timelines and deliverables and providing regular reports and analytics. Each day will be fast-paced, challenging, rewarding and meaningful.Specifically, you will:
• Provide strong leadership to complex teams/projects, while guiding strategic direction and ensuring program objectives align with organization objectives • Monitor and report on the program's performance, identifying areas of concern or opportunity and presenting recommendations to the leadership team • Identify opportunities for the teams/projects assigned working with Business stakeholders on the intake of new initiatives while ensuring appropriate stage gate authorization • Manage assigned program staff, including allocation of staff resources, delegating, scheduling and prioritizing of staff workloads and developing, mentoring and coaching others and participate in the hiring process • Manage Program financials to include compiling cost estimates into a forecast and monitor actual spend against budget. • Align Program and project requirements with Staples' business and IT technology strategy and vision. Some of what you need
• 7 years of experience in an IT organization required with demonstrated track record of delivering projects • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline and/or Master's Degree preferred • PMP and/or Master's certification in Project Management an asset • Strong knowledge of MS Project • Strong knowledge of MS SharePoint technology • In depth knowledge of and ability to adapt project management practices • Strong financial acumen, with prior experience in creating "Level of Efforts" (LOE) and Business Cases • Adept in influencing and negotiating (i.e. 3rd party vendors • Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve complex processes • Strong communication, collaboration and relationship building skills • Curious • Approachable • Passionate • Solutions finder Some of what you will get
