Rogers Sports & Media has an exciting opportunity within the Programming department for a Program Contract Specialist (7 month contract).
The Program Contract Specialist will act as a liaison between independent producers and Rogers Sports & Media in tracking and collating all contract deliverables, including business affairs documentation, production funding, milestones and regulatory deliverables.  This role would complement a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with outstanding organizational and analytical skills, who is passionate about business affairs and Canadian original productions.
What you will do:
  • Assist with assessing and coordinating the flow of content license agreements.   
  • Support the preparation of business affairs documentation including greenlight forms, letters of intent, broadcast letters, funding, revenue tracking, CRTC and Canadian Media Fund reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate and maintain internal tracking documents, spreadsheets, presentations, reporting analysis comprised of an extensive internal network of project portfolios.
  • Accountable for tracking all pertinent documentation for the Canadian Media Fund, including, but not limited to Broadcaster Agreement forms, CMF Performance Envelope letters and other supplementary documentation.
  • Create, summarize and administer the distribution of internal license terms sheets.
  • Set-up of suppliers in Financial System, process invoicing and liaise with Accounts Payable for delivery milestones and payments.
  • Maintain a database of contract status and follow up with outstanding deliverables and producers as necessary.
  • Answer inquiries from various stakeholders on rights availability, terms and/or scheduling controls.
  • Organize and analyze large amounts of data to empower strategic decision-making processes and status updates.
  • Special projects and business reporting as assigned.
What you will bring:
  • Exceptional critical thinking, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to tell a story.
  • Aptitude to organize and present information clearly and concisely with internal and external clients.
  • Understanding of Canadian independent productions and funding an asset.
  • The ability to develop, maintain and support reporting and analytic solutions.
  • Adeptness to learn new software programs and advanced capabilities in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Ability to work independently and excel in a team environment 
  • Experience in delivering quality solutions under pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to evaluate, communicate and recommend alternatives.
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism and discretion with sensitivity in handling confidential information.
  • Passion for learning, transformation and continuous innovation.
