Breakfast Television, Canada's #1 Morning Show, is looking for a hardworking, passionate, and organized individual to take on the role of Production Floater.  BT shoots from 6 am-10 am daily and this role is required to start their day at 4:30 am to set up the show for success.  This individual must be detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.  
What you will do...
  • Perform duties as a production assistant, deko operator, floor director, teleprompter, news director
  • Provides descriptive and concise information of in-studio segments to the Producer / News Director over headset in a timely manner
  • Participates in pre/post production meetings
  • Assists on field production shoots if required
  • General production duties as required 
What you will bring...
  • Proven experience in production related position
  • Experience with QView and QNews is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; which includes an ability to provide clear, concise, and timely information to several people within a short time frame
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and approach responsibilities with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work well with a variety of personalities and maintain a positive attitude even in highly stressful, time sensitive situations
  • The ability to constantly monitor and comprehend information, directions and requests from control room staff on headset, Talent, Segment Producers, and Producer in studio.
  • Clear, concise and timely is a must for this communication (i.e. a sense of urgency is required)
  • Self-motivated, high energy, and imaginative with a great deal of attention to detail
