The Product Manager, Home Financing will primarily be responsible for supporting the acquisition strategy and Profit & Loss (P&L) for mortgages and home equity products in the broker channel, ensuring business plan expectations are achieved with additional focus on external partner relationship management, product design, strategy, customer experience, efficiency, compliance, innovation, continuous improvement and risk management.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. Product Management and Development - Broker Channel
- Serve as a product expert, understanding all aspects of product performance and drivers (market, financial, business) to inform features and benefits.
- Deliver product solutions and enhancements aligned with strategy, supporting ease of sales, fulfillment, and servicing.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans to manage existing products, streamline offerings, and balance simplification with customer needs.
- Support an optimal broker channel strategy, identify opportunities to enhance channel strategy, and actively manage channel priorities to align with business objectives, customer needs, and market dynamics.
- Monitor operations to ensure systems and processes are maintained and improved; enhance infrastructure for product delivery and documentation.
- Regularly assess customer and competitive environments to ensure product relevance and competitive positioning.
- Contribute to product policy strategies that support stable and predictable performance while strengthening strategic differentiation and competitive advantage in the broker channel.
- Act as subject matter expert for system development and implementation to ensure efficiency and results.
- Build and strengthen the relationship with our strategic partner, ensuring alignment of business priorities, channel objectives, and shared delivery outcomes.
- Maintain regular communication with key partner contacts to stay aligned on market developments, regulatory changes, delivery priorities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Support and improve internal and external communication on product, policy, campaigns, and other broker channel updates to ensure stakeholders remain informed, aligned, and well positioned to execute.
- Work closely with our strategic partner to identify opportunities for innovation, improve customer and sales experience, and enhance operational efficiency across the broker channel.
- Coordinate and monitor product and business change initiatives, ensuring priorities are aligned, progress is tracked, and implementation is executed effectively in collaboration with our strategic partner and internal stakeholders.
- Lead issue resolution and ongoing support management by tracking open items, coordinating stakeholders, documenting status updates, and driving timely resolution to maintain service quality, transparency, and partner accountability.
Governance and Risk Management
- Proactively identify and manage risks, escalating material issues as needed.
- Develop analytical approaches to measure and mitigate product-level risk; collaborate on operational risk strategies.
- Lead compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory and legal requirements.
- Manage risk-based pricing capabilities, incorporating credit and market risk drivers.
- Oversee governance and compliance frameworks to support executive attestations and accountabilities.

- Build and manage strategic partner relationships, maintain effective communication, and drive issue resolution to support shared business outcomes.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and sustainable business growth.
- Monitor financial, product, and channel performance, using reporting and analytics to inform decisions, evaluate program effectiveness, and optimize results.
- Support product pricing, portfolio performance, and lifecycle management to strengthen competitive positioning and achieve business plan objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and proactively manage product and operational risk across the portfolio.
- Possess advanced knowledge of Home Financing and related industry, Experience in the mortgage broker industry a strong asset
- Possesses a university degree in business/commerce, data sciences, engineering, finance and/or mathematics (graduate level degrees preferred) and/or 5 to 7 years of experience in product management and/or consulting
- Strong experience with external partner relationship management
- Strong experience of program/project management
- Strong ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and influence outcomes across business and delivery teams.
- Strong knowledge of product delivery infrastructure systems and underlying product interdependence.
- In-depth risk management associated with new and existing product development and management.
- Strong knowledge of process coordination and management.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into actionable plans and drive execution in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in SAS/SQL or other programming languages and MS Power BI.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint; ability to operate effectively in both business and technical environments.
- Strong ownership, time management, and ability to deliver high-quality output within deadlines.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to process enhancements and profitability improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
