The Audit Quality function, department of professional practice is looking for a Senior Project Coordinator, Audit Quality to provide administrative, operational, and project coordination. The team works closely with engagement teams, risk management, and national leadership to promote consistent audit execution, strengthen compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. Audit Quality supports monitoring programs, quality management processes, regulatory reporting, root cause analysis that help maintaining high standards across the Audit practice.

What you will do
Project & Practice Management
  • Support various audit quality initiatives through project support with organizational mindset
  • Work with AQ team members and various leaders in the firm to formulate communication and messaging around Audit Quality
  • Support management of external stakeholders from c oordinating in-person meetings and conference calls, including preparing required materials, organizing logistics, taking minutes, and tracking follow-up items as required
  • Provide project coordination support by organizing timelines, tracking key activities, following up on outstanding items, and supporting consistent execution of Audit Quality priorities, by w orking closely with other Audit Quality Leaders to ensure the success of the portfolio and the projects
  • Participate in the development of project management standards and methodologies
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations to various audiences, including project teams, sponsors, senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Perform regular tasks and remain flexible to execute ad-hoc administrative, operational, and project work as it arises to support Audit Quality partners and their teams' deliverables and goals
  • PowerPoint skills to support various internal and external reporting requirements and presentations

Human Resources

  • Supports group HR processes from managing on-boarding to rotational scheduling
  • Coordinates vacation schedule and management of resource needs

Process Improvement
  • Conduct deep-dive assessments of current processes, technology use, and resource deployment across the Team
  • Quantify improvement opportunities and help support business cases for change
  • Support process improvements and standardization including looking at automating tasks and creating efficiencies with within Audit Quality Initiatives
  • Engage with key stakeholders and service line focus groups to assess current processes, identifying strengths, pain points, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with technology and innovation teams to leverage digital tools, automation, and analytics in achieving efficiency gains

Change management and communication
  • Drive adoption of new processes and tools through clear communication, engagement, and training initiatives
  • Anticipate and manage resistance to change through proactive stakeholder engagement and problem resolution
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships and support effective communication, coordination, and collaboration across the Audit Quality function and broader Audit practice
What you bring to the role
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to organize priorities, manage timelines, and follow up on action items
  • Strong operational skills, with the ability to support process execution, documentation, tracking, and continuous improvement activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondence, prepare clear meeting minutes, and support high-quality documentation
  • Good judgment and analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail
  • Advanced skills with Adobe and Microsoft products, in particular Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, and Teams
  • Capable of working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and proactively identifying where support is required
  • Ability to quickly and smoothly adapt to changing demands and support multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency and willingness to quickly learn proprietary software and new digital tools
  • Knowledge of automation tools is considered an asset
  • College diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience with an administrative assistant skill set

KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $63,000 to $94,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
