Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and caring Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide personal care and daily living assistance to clients who require support in their homes or care settings. The successful candidate will help promote clients’ comfort, independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
Provide mobility and transfer assistance as required.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a safe environment.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ condition or well-being.
Follow individualized care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
Support clients with appointments and daily activities when required.
Respect clients’ privacy, dignity, independence, and personal preferences.

Requirements:

Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification or relevant healthcare training, where required.
Previous caregiving or personal-support experience is an advantage.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
Ability to perform required physical duties safely.
Current first aid/CPR certification may be required.
Successful background/vulnerable-sector screening where applicable.
