What you will do
  • Lead the assessment and analysis of clients' Oracle HCM and Canadian Payroll functional and technical needs, translating business requirements into pragmatic solution designs and implementation plans.
  • Advise clients on payroll process design, Oracle HCM capabilities, configuration options, controls, and leading practices, with particular focus on the Canadian payroll environment.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal teams; facilitate decisions, manage expectations, and maintain alignment on outcomes.
  • Lead or oversee Oracle HCM and Payroll configurations to tailor solutions to client requirements while maintaining design integrity and scalability.
  • Provide functional oversight for technical workstreams including data conversion, integrations, security, testing, reconciliation, and deployment readiness.
  • Work closely with Business Systems Analysts, Developers, Architects, Functional Consultants, and implementation partners to resolve design gaps, defects, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Own accountability for assigned client deliverables, workstreams, and milestones, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with project objectives and contractual scope.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and quality review for consultants and team members, including geographically distributed and international teams.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness by identifying opportunities to create additional client value and supporting broader transformation initiatives.
What you bring to the role
  • A degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees and Oracle or payroll certifications, including PCP, are considered strong assets.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Oracle HCM and Payroll solutions, with strong functional knowledge of Canadian payroll administration, configuration, support, and implementation activities.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll processes, policies, statutory requirements, compliance obligations, and controls, and the ability to translate these requirements into Oracle HCM and Payroll solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of Oracle HCM modules and their interdependencies, with the ability to assess upstream and downstream impacts across the employee lifecycle and payroll process.
  • Experience leading or coordinating data conversion, integrations, security, testing, reconciliation, and other technical implementation activities in partnership with technical specialists.
  • Proven track record of meeting project objectives while managing competing priorities, budgets, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a proactive approach to resolving payroll-related issues, discrepancies, design gaps, and system errors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach junior resources, review deliverables, and collaborate effectively across functional, technical, and project management disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops, communicate with senior stakeholders, articulate technical concepts clearly, and produce high-quality project documentation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to operate in dynamic consulting environments with shifting priorities, project requirements, and timelines.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on Oracle HCM and Payroll capabilities, tools, releases, and leading practices.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $135,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $130,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
