TD Merchant Solutions (TDMS) provides reliable, flexible and easy to use card payment solutions to corporate, commercial and small business clients. A wide selection of payment processing solutions includes Point of Sale (POS) terminals, PC Software and E-Commerce card processing solutions that allow businesses to authorize and settle their payment card transactions electronically, whether the payment is debit or credit card. TDBFG is the only bank in Canada which directly operates a merchant processor/acquirer, resulting in unique opportunities and challenges in a highly competitive environment

Job Description

Reporting to the Systems Operations Manager, the Operations Support Officer will assist Merchant Solutions (MS) with day to day requests within MS Operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills; results driven and able manage complex business demands

Key Accountabilities Include:
Complete all day to day tasks within defined SLA's and ensure requests are tracked in our request intake portal queues.
  • Assist with and/or coordinate access change requests as required
  • Investigate and resolve all application production issues including system availability, access and reconciliation
  • Analyze all production issues ensuring
  • minimal user impact
  • mitigation plans developed/implemented to prevent recurrence
  • Communicating to affected users with clear and concise details as to the impact and necessary details to ensure users are aware of the issue and the progress to resolution
  • Assist with the SharePoint website updates and development
  • Prepare/update reporting procedures and verification documentation for new/revised reporting processes and monthly statistics reports.
  • Provide process improvements, and recommend efficiencies when developing the skillset of our day to day business operational environment
  • Provide macro and Access database support


Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as proven time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate with business partners, and senior management.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up and priority setting skills to handle multiple tasks/projects and to work independently.
  • Remain flexible with shifting priorities and ability to function under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel, macro development, VBA, and Microsoft Access
  • Understanding of SharePoint development and provide opinions on how to enhance our usage
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate & lead discussions in both small and larger interdepartmental teams
  • The ability to communicate complex situations and ideas in a clear, simple, and understandable manner
  • A strong knowledge of processes and procedures, mixed with technical Computer / software skills
  • A high degree of accuracy in completing work and demonstrated problem solving capabilities
  • The ability to manage concurrent priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to contribute to a successful and cohesive work environment by demonstrating a positive attitude, professionalism and teamwork with partners, colleagues and other staff
