What you can expect to do here:
- Support mechanical engineering or project coordination efforts under the guidance of senior team members on active projects.
- Assist in developing project plans, contributing to defining scope, timelines, and resource needs.
- Participate in mechanical design activities, collaborating with experienced engineers to learn best practices and contribute to design solutions.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, fostering strong communication and teamwork across functions.
- Track project progress and support budget monitoring, helping identify cost-saving opportunities and flagging potential issues.
- Help identify project risks and contribute to discussions on mitigation strategies.
- Engage with clients professionally, providing updates when appropriate and helping address questions or concerns.
- Ensure engineering work aligns with quality standards and codes, learning to interpret and apply relevant guidelines.
- Review technical designs and documentation with senior engineers, gaining experience in evaluating and refining engineering outputs.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Experience in managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Knowledge of design of Mechanical systems across various facility types.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- An ability to work collaboratively.
