The Marketing team delivers end to end marketing strategies from creation to execution to performance tracking. The team is responsible for partnering with business units/channels and Marketing experts across the organization to create and execute world class marketing strategies, plans and campaigns that drive shareholder value and increase customer loyalty. As key business partners, marketers act as consultants to the businesses on all aspects of marketing, influencing the business strategy, as well as ensuring that the TD brand is protected and delivered with the best customer experience. Roles on this team include a range of capabilities for developing, executing and managing communications across Marketing, in support of business objectives and in alignment with the TD brand.

Job Description

The Marketing Manager RESL Targeted Acquisition will be responsible building and executing targeted marketing strategies with the objective of growing TD Mortgage and Home Equity Line of Credit Acquisitions. Working in an agile environment, the candidate will be required to leverage analytical skills to uncover new targeting opportunities to identify customers in the shopping and buying stage of the customer journey. A strong understanding of targeting marketing principles and a proven ability to build strategic recommendations and execute campaigns is required.
  • Consumer Insights and Trends: Leverage market research and apply customer insights to strategic recommendations and marketing campaigns/programs.
  • Build and Protect the Brand: Ensure integrated marketing campaigns are designed for a positive customer experience and support the brand.
  • Marketing Strategies and Plans: Contribute to the annual marketing plans, giving insights and recommendations from campaigns/programs.
  • Creating Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Leverages existing views of the target audience, including demographic, attitudinal and behavioral data to create campaign recommendations and briefs. Translates marketing objectives and consumer insights into communication strategy (benefit, offer, reason to believe "RTB" or proof points).
    • The candidate should have proven success developing and delivering complex one to one marketing programs, across DM, Email, and other targeted marketing tactics.
  • Deliver and Monitor Results: Ensure stated objectives are delivered on plan (monitor/ early indicators) and where required, take corrective actions to achieve targets. Analyze past results and make recommendations to maximize ROI. Evaluate effectiveness of in market activity - PIR (including recommendations). Telling our Story - able to effectively communicate the results and sell the value of marketing. Provide marketing recommendations within the program.
  • Builds Innovative Solutions: Actively contributes to driving the spirit innovation among the team, brings external thinking/ideas to problems
  • Budget and Project Management: Leverages the best practices of OMLC (stage gate process) to manage projects in the most effective way (on time, on target, on budget) from initiation to completion. Able to navigate through roadblocks by engaging key stakeholders/sponsors. Leads multi-functional teams through the project. Track and manage budget against plan, meeting all financial reporting requirements. Manage the appropriate use of resources (e.g. budget, processes, people) within area of responsibility
  • Analysis and Problem Solving: Focuses and defines the problem to solve, engages resources across functional boundaries to gather data and insight, draws insight from data, making correlations and connections to deliver meaning from disparate sources of data. Leverages data combined with judgment and intuition to make recommendations and drive action. Leverage data to tell our story and make recommendations that are simple and concise
  • Agency management: Inspire and lead agencies (campaign/project level activity)


Requirements
Education/Accreditations:
Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing
MBA would be an asset
  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required
  • Over 7 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple principles and marketing disciplines, strategy development, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and product/customer markets
  • Expert knowledge of technical processes, procedures, tools and technologies and project management methodologies
  • Strong communications skills and organizational awareness to communicate difficult concepts, coordinate effectively with increasingly senior shareholders and integrate work with other areas
  • A dynamic leader with robust organizational and team management skills to work with a team and handle multiple priorities a fast-paced environment
