Position Overview:

As the Manager, Planning & Engineering - Wireless DevOps Data & Tools, you will manage and lead a team responsible for all Wireless Big Data and End to End Radio Access Deployment tools. You will promote and support a customer-first culture by ensuring application development, product support, system reliability, data integrity, and assurance to deliver the best in industry customer experience.
Occasional travel is required as this role supports a national team.

Responsibilities:
    •You will provide leadership to a team accountable for:
      •Building and maintain tools for end-to-end wireless network deployment. •Supporting wireless network DevOps' tools platform infrastructure (i.e. Appian, Google Cloud, and SAP). •Building and maintain data layer infrastructure and platforms (ie. Splunk). •Automation enablement through application builds. •Owning and maintaining data exchange processes for data integrity & automation. •Initiating efficiency initiatives and driving internal process improvements to reduce Capex & Opex; •Supporting new technology introduction by making ready existing or new tools.
    •Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members •Working collaboratively across teams and business units


Qualifications:


Required Knowledge:
    •In-depth knowledge of:
      •Big data platforms, concepts, technologies, and architecture •Full-stack development technologies •Appian Low Code Development •Business management and negotiation •Business Process Mapping •Virtualized cloud platforms

Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Strong process engineering skills •Strong track record on delivering on goals/objectives •Strong customer service focus •Strong interpersonal and communications skills •Collaborative, team-focused approach •Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members •Demonstrated track record of high team engagement •Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of management •Strong creative, problem-solving, and analytical skills •Drive and passion for technology

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •Bachelor degree in electrical or physical engineering •A Master degree in engineering or telecom is an asset •P.Eng certification in Canada is an asset

Required Experience:
    •10 or more years of RAN engineering experience •3 or more years of experience leading a team of RAN engineers •5 or more years of experience with 3GPP (UMTS & LTE), 3GPP2 (CDMA/EvDO) radio access network equipment, fiber equipment, and IP networks •2 or more years of experience leading multi-disciplinary projects •5 or more years of experience working in the telecommunications industry
