Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director - Channel Strategy & Insights, this role is responsible for supporting the workforce optimization team through management of our various TELUS Retail compensation programs, including Monthly Performance Pay, incentives, rewards & recognition. The team is also responsible for FTE and payroll workforce management/planning - all specifically designed to drive the engagement and performance of our frontline retail teams.

Responsibilities:
    •Lead a team of highly motivated and engaged analysts, with focuses in retail workforce management & compensation •Develop, manage and execute on compensation programs and campaigns via go to market communications, delivery of front line tool kits •Manage a combined budget of +$100M, with a focus towards driving engagement, productivity and optimization •Provide thought leadership & support through the evolution and rollout of our strategic priorities •Communicate business results to e-suite audience and provide monthly guidance on program results •Cultivate strong relationships with the field leadership team to influence and support field and business priorities •Develop and communicate quarterly updates to front line roadshows across the country •Provide insight and influence strategic incentive and compensation roadmaps


Qualifications:


Required Knowledge:
    •Knowledge of people leadership & talent management •Strategic planning, analysis, program management and change management experience •Knowledge of/experience working with various stakeholders and influencers •Demonstrated business case and financial modelling practices •Retail knowledge, preferably in telecommunications •Advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel & PowerPoint skills •Knowledge of compensation frameworks and principles is an asset •Story telling & executive communications & presentations

Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to present information at all levels of the organization •Strong analytical abilities to provide develop strategies based on historical and current data •Demonstrated management leadership skills: Ability to build high performance teams, motivate and influence employees to exceed performance initiatives, and possess an understanding of the business and financial elements of a large operation •Innate passion for innovation and continuous improvement to ensure the team is looking for lean & agile ways of meeting our goals •Willingness to roll out your sleeves, learn and take on a very broad scope of work •Strong ability to effectively mediate complex, high risk or sensitive issues or situations •Advanced business acumen including spearheading the analysis of new opportunities and acting as the champion for change •Demonstrates the ability to quickly assess problem situations and make rational decisions •Solid priority management skills for one's own time and of a team, with proven success in developing and managing multiple programs/priorities at one time •Demonstrated ability to work with peers in a cross-functional setting •Highly motivated, creative, self-sufficient with ability to work successfully under pressure •Passion for excellence, strong work ethic and solutions-oriented •Creativity and problem solving ability to overcome unexpected obstacles while building a collaborative environment that utilizes a 'fair process' approach to solution building with team and partners

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •Post-secondary degree in Business Management •Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an asset

Required Experience:
    •Minimum 3-5 years' formal leadership and coaching experience •Minimum 3-5 years' in a program management role, supporting large operations budgets +$50M •Proven track record of presenting to senior leadership •Presentation and Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint skills are required
