Department Overview The Enterprise Strategy team is part of TD's Corporate Development, Funding and Strategy Group. This Group is responsible for leading the identification, research, analysis, and internal presentation of organic and inorganic growth opportunities for TD globally. Additionally, the Enterprise Strategy team supports leaders across the bank shape TD's strategic direction and enterprise priorities.
The team's primary accountabilities are to provide strategic advice to business segments in support of their short, medium and long-term priorities, manage the company's strategic planning process, and ensure strategic plans are aligned with TD's enterprise strategy and risk appetite. This role will interact with business / functional leaders and their teams, including business strategy teams, as well as external resources
Job Description • Supports shaping TD's enterprise strategic direction to develop and implement winning strategies
• Supports the development of business strategies, including market research, evaluating TD's relative business performance, and scoping winning strategic choices
• Works closely with senior business leaders and their teams to understand issues, support strategies for change, and collaborate on recommendations
• Conducts ongoing assessments of industry and competitive landscapes, identifying key industry trends impacting the business and associated growth opportunities
• Drives greater efficiency, effectiveness, and capability in collaboration with functional leaders
• Supports the design and delivery of strategy sessions and workshops and collaborates with teams across TD and outside the bank to develop content for Executive audiences
• Proactively manages project plans, while effectively engaging and communicating with key stakeholders
• Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts to TD

Requirements • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably at a top-tier management consulting firm
• Demonstrated business acumen, including the ability to identify key issues and use research / analysis skills to extract key messages from data. Must have a high degree of numeracy and be comfortable with strategic and financial analysis
• Strong leadership skills - with demonstrated ability to impact and influence
• Teamwork/Relationship Management - ability to work effectively in teams and build positive relationships with individuals across the Bank / externally
• Manage change - ability to succeed in an environment where there may be significant ambiguity and changing circumstances
• Organizational awareness - a sound understanding of TDBG to understand contacts across business lines to engage to identify solutions and resolve issues
• Strong financial acumen with exceptional research and analytical skills - ability to absorb information on a variety of often complex issues (financial and non-financial) and provide insights on key issues
• Self-starter and ability to work independently - project confidence and be able to operate without regular feedback or guidance to determine where value can best be added
• Ability to prioritize tasks and determine what is important and where value can be best added
• Formal strategy experience (e.g., management consulting, in-house corporate strategy)
• Willingness to learn - embraces the opportunity to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written communication and presentation skills, and demonstrated ability to create clear and effective communication materials for highly complex issues and topics
• Integrity - can recognize and responsibly manage significant access to sensitive information about the Bank, strategy, and financial results
• Good judgment - ability to determine which issues to escalate, what to resolve independently, and provide suggestions for possible resolution
• Demonstrated knowledge of key Finance issues (e.g., accounting, treasury, tax, capital
Educational Requirements:
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant field; MBA degree, CFA or CA could be a definite asset
• Prior knowledge of the North American financial services industry would be preferred
