What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Cost and Productivity Advisory, will be responsible for assisting with the validation and ongoing monitoring of benefits from Capital Markets projects and cost initiatives, as well as translating these benefits into the financial statements for forecasting and planning purposes. The Manager will also enhance the delivery of reporting to senior business leaders and other Finance partners, including visualization tools and consolidation of financial and non-financial data as it relates to cost initiatives.

What will you do?
  • Assist in validation of benefits identified in CM project and cost initiatives and where necessary, assist in building of business case financials to support businesses' cost initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve processes surrounding the tracking and reporting of CM project and cost initiative benefits
  • Participate in validating and challenging benefits identified in Project Approval Requests (PAR) and monitor and track the realization of benefits.
  • Assist in design, development and implementation approaches to improve transparency of direct and indirect costs as well as proactively improve the reporting capability within CM and financial systems.
  • A 'go to' person for all matters pertaining to NIE on cost initiatives with broad based and in-depth knowledge of core Capital Markets performance drivers and business understanding.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses for senior management as required.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 3+ years' experience in wholesale business activity, namely a thorough understanding of Capital Markets businesses and transactions
  • Experience in management reporting and analysis
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skills required, with data mining skill and ability to explore new technologies to enhance the delivery of financial information
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence stakeholders mobilize groups to deliver on common goals

  • CPA or CFA or Finance MBA highly preferred
  • Solid experience and good understanding of bank structure, risk management concepts, financial markets and instruments
  • Experience in financial modelling including understanding of statistics, risk or other quantitative metrics
  • Possess technology acumen or have a keen interest in technology
