The Human Capital (HC) team at PwC Canada includes Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Talent Management professionals. The Strategy and Leadership (S&L) L&D Senior Manager will support the development pillar's vision of driving value to our people, business and clients by fostering a culture of continuous learning. They will cultivate an environment where education, coaching and teamwork are valued and our people actively seek challenging opportunities to learn and develop to their full potential. The S&L L&D Senior Manager is responsible for formulating, recommending and executing on a strategic plan for firm-wide business skills development. This includes assessing, designing, developing and implementing learning solutions, from inception through to business impact, to support the cultivation of business skills within our organization. (Examples include, but are not limited, to client relationship skills, onboarding of new joiners, PwC Experience, sales and relationship management, communications skills, management skills etc). An added part of their role will be to reimagine the possible and look for new ways to innovate and transform the programs within Strategy and Leadership and the greater L&D Dev Pillar.

Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Learning and Development Senior Manager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Formulating, recommending, and executing on a strategic plan for firm-wide business skills development

• Assessing, designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions to support the cultivation of business skills within our organization

• Reimagining and innovating program offerings within Strategy & Leadership and the greater L&D Development Pillar

• Identifying , building, and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including the business and Human Capital

• Understanding business unit strategies and contributing to the development of a learning plan to support these strategies

• Identifying learning and performance needs and implementing effective learning approaches and educational technologies

• Researching and providing thought leadership on business skills development

• Evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of learning strategies and recommending changes

• Sourcing, negotiating, and working with outside suppliers to develop cost-effective programs

• Managing and accounting for project budget

• Overseeing or organizing/delivering instructor briefings, skills training, and train-the-trainer events

• Determining compliance and metric information required and analyzing results to determine appropriate action

• Coaching, managing, and developing other L&D managers and project planners

• Leveraging the PwC Global Network to share ideas, best practices, and content

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• A post-secondary education, ongoing learning efforts, and professional membership that demonstrate a commitment to the Human Capital profession and the ability to acquire and apply commercial and technical expertise
• Knowledge of adult learning theory; learning needs and performance gap analysis; content development routines; instructional design; and assessment/evaluation of learning

• Understanding of the strategy and priorities of the business and how they translate into learning & development priorities

• An open and consultative mindset to look for innovation, change, agile thinking, and adaptability

• Knowledge of business skills frameworks and methodologies

• Team player with excellent consulting skills, strong oral and written communication, and a senior presence

• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain collaborative relationships

• Development of self and others through on-the-job coaching and performance management

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects, work to tight deadlines, and align resources to ensure priorities are met

• Understanding of change management issues and ability to work with technology or learn new software
