The Team
The Pega Centre of Excellence (COE) plays a critical role in the governance of Pega applications. We are a highly motivated group that works closely together to set standards and best practices for how Pega is implemented across the bank.

The Role
The Pega Lead Solutions Architect is a technical leader who will be responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation of Pega based solutions, as well as governance and interactions with business partners on Pega projects. Accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches customer technical and functional requirements.

Some of the Key Accountabilities include:
  • Provides thought-leadership to fellow team members and business partners across business and technical project dimensions solving for complex business/technical requirements. This includes scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and UAT and production deployment.
  • Ensures delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional best practices.
  • Provides technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to GCS and/or Product engineering.
  • Identifies project technical risks.
  • Ensures delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed. Works in conjunction with Engagement Leader to size, manage scope and risk.
  • Provides support and technical governance focused on one or more projects at a single client, in partnership with Pega COE.
  • Act as the mentor to all team members on their assigned project tasks.
  • Keep current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teach new technologies and maintain an understanding of the Division's business and technology strategies.

What You Will Bring to Succeed
  • Have Pega certifications - Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) OR Senior Systems Architect (CSSA)
  • 7+ years' experience in building and implementing model-driven, enterprise level business solutions and applications.
  • Experience in full PRPC implementation cycle including Enterprise Class Structure design and Ruleset design
  • At least 2+ years of experience in-depth, hand-on application development experience in Pega PRPC v7.x/v8.xand Pega frameworks
  • Expertise in a variety of technologies, including WebShere or Weblogic, J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java, Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL.
  • Have experience working in Financial Services
  • Experience leading in Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Object-Oriented techniques and principles
  • Strong team focus with a genuine interest in working collaboratively with others, mentoring peers and being open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
