Position: Lead Security Operations Dispatch Centre Operator
City: Toronto
Status: Full -Time
Hours: Mon to Fri 0700-1500
Pay Rate: $24.40/hr

Job Description: In this key role, you will oversee the Security Operations Centre (SOC) within a Government of Ontario facility. You will monitor security systems, coordinate security personnel, and support emergency response activities.
• Monitor and operate access control, CCTV, fire and life safety systems
• Dispatch and coordinate security personnel and calls for service
• Operate two-way radios and manage communications
• Coordinate emergency response and incident management
• Monitor alarms, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Maintain logs, records, and incident documentation
• Review CCTV and access control reports as required
• Respond to incoming calls, emails, and security inquiries
• Issue visitor, contractor, and access badges
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors
• Support and direct security personnel during routine and emergency situations
This site is a Government of Ontario Building. Qualifications:
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
• Post-secondary education in Security, Law, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of security experience in a commercial, institutional, or government environment
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Experience in a Security Operations Centre or Control Centre
• Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, and life safety systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
