The Opportunity:

WSP E&I is currently seeking an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer (Stormwater) to join our team in Burlington, ON.

As an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer, you will have a chance to lead and direct technical aspects of projects under the supervision of a Senior Engineer and be able to provide direction and guidance to Junior Engineers supporting these projects

A day in the life:
  • You'll serve as technical lead and project manager on multiple simultaneous projects including but not limited to:
    • hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality evaluations,
    • Class EAs and detailed design for predominantly public sector clients;
  • You'll produce written correspondence and reports;
  • You'll conduct reviews of engineering calculations and hydrologic and hydraulic computer modelling, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Visual OTTHYMO, SWMHYMO, PCSWMM, MIKE Urban and MIKE Flood, GAWSER, HSP-F;

What you'll bring to WSP ...
  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from and accredited post-secondary institution is required
  • 4+ years of consulting experience
  • Registration or eligibility for immediate registration as a P.Eng. with Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO)
  • Experience with leading staff and working with clients
  • Experience with projects in a public sector
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and public speaking skills
