Job Description

Bellus Health Inc. is a late-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing treatments for refractory chronic cough (RCC). Recently, under GSK plc  The acquisition includes camilpixant, a highly selective P2X3 antagonist currently in phase III development for RCC treatment, which is expected to significantly impact the company's sales and earnings growth through 2031 and beyond. Bellus Health aims to improve the lives of patients suffering from chronic cough, a condition affecting millions globally.

As the organization continues to grow, Bellus Health Inc is seeking a strategic and hands-on HR professional to lead all facets of human resources. The Manager, Human Resources will oversee key HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-volume recruitment efforts, including coordination of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle and talent acquisition strategy.
  • Maintain and optimize HRIS systems and data integrity.
  • Partner with senior leadership on change management initiatives and organizational development strategies.
  • Prepare and manage attendance reviews, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee inquiries related to leave, benefits, and policy interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and staffing data.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers for effective performance management.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation (or working toward designation) is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of New Brunswick employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
