We are seeking a collaborative and strategic Head of Tax Shared Services to lead our offshore business unit and support the continued growth and transformation of our Tax Shared Services practice. Reporting to the Tax Chief Operating Officer, in this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for continuing to buildan extension of our tax team model-ensuring that offshore operations are fully integrated, aligned with business objectives, and consistently deliver exceptional value to our clients and stakeholders.

You will foster a culture of championship, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, leveraging your business acumen and financial expertise to make informed decisions that support growth, innovation and deliver value to stakeholders.

What you will do
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Tax Shared Services offshore practice to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Develop and implement business strategies that support growth, profitability, and operational excellence
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for the offshore practice
  • Optimize processes, manage risks, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including national service lines, offshore leads, tax practitioners, and the tax leadership team
  • Support the launch and integration of new service offeringsto align with business objectives and market needs
  • Promote change management, talent development, and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies, practices, controls, and regulations
What you bring to the role
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in a public practice firm or large organization, with leadership experience in tax and/or offshore delivery center management
  • Minimum 5 years in senior leadership roles, overseeing large teams and complex operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial management, forecasting and business strategy
  • Proven ability to make sound business decisions and drive operational excellence
  • Advanced knowledge of tax preparation software, technology platforms, and process automation
  • Experience leading risk assessments, control testing, and remediation activities to ensure adherence to controls and quality standards
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally (up to 10%-20% annually)

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $102,500 to $200,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
