As the Program Manager, you support and advance the Graduate Engineering Leadership Program (GELP) to meet TELUS' current and future engineering and technology talent needs. You support a team of Engineers-In-Training (EIT's) from their entry into the program through to their post-program placement in TELUS. You also partner closely with technology rotation managers to ensure the customized, individual training needs of each EIT delivers specific learning outcomes aligned to strategic talent development goals.
The Program Manager reports to the Director - Technology Strategy (GELP & Innovation Centres).

•Talent Management: Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Provide leadership, coaching and support to GELP team members
•Coordinate selection and assignment of EIT rotations every 9 months
•Ensure monthly assessment of each EITs progress against PPO/CCDP is performed and tracked
•Facilitate monthly learning progress reviews between rotation managers, EITs and program manager
•Align the skills needs of technology-oriented rotations with the development needs of EITs and co-ops
•Ensure co-op students and co-op managers have a positive experience to become advocates for TELUS' GELP and Engineering & Technology Co-op Program (ETCP)
•Partner with and build strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders within TELUS to optimize the coaching, mentoring and development (technical, business acumen) of each EIT to support their career objectives
•Evolve the design and delivery of GELP, based on analysis of feedback and data
•Lead annual review of mentor-EIT assignments
•Partner with Talent Acquisition to coordinate and support the recruitment cycle for annual EIT intake and co-op intake (3 times per year)
•Evolve the recruitment strategy to include non-traditional recruitment strategies which includes collaborating with internal and external partners
•Prepare executive level reports of program KPI's
•Initiate technical and/or business case innovation projects to support the development of EIT's
•Facilitate the review and assessment of non-rotation projects, including business cases and/or technical opportunities
•Passion for technology and belief that contributing to the development and success of others is a winning combination that will create a better future
•Desire for continuous improvements, learning and exploring
•Strong business and financial acumen
•Exceptional consultation, analytical and problem solving skills
•Excellent communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills, and ability to convey data or technical ideas into a compelling story
•Two years or more of working experience in a technology domain
•Experience leading peers or cross-functional projects or programs
•Degree in Engineering or Computer Science Great-to-haves
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng) preferred
•Masterof Business Administration (MBA) degree
•Networking certifications (e.g. Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA)
