Purpose-led work you'll be part ofAs a Defence Industry Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead sales and client relationship development in named accounts
• Deliver key consulting projects and programs in a Project Executive or Program Manager role
• Develop deep relationships and understanding of our clients, their challenges and strategic objectives, and how we can marshal the capabilities of PwC
• Review our client's strategies and offer thought leadership and introduction of subject matter experts
• Manage one or more key client accounts and lead strategy development to align to your client's priorities and bring the best PwC offers to these clients
• Identify and discuss key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities
• Upskill yourself and our teams on emerging trends for our clients, relevant case studies for clients and new skills and technologies
• Shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria
• Proactively provide leadership within the go to market team and solution teams
• Drive the development of new business in the market, and providing client/account specific advice, support and leadership across opportunities and engagements
• Build strong networks within the firm to work across our competencies to bring the right people and capabilities to help our clients with their strategic priorities
• Coach, grow, and develop the teams focused on client accounts and delivery
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve• Extensive public sector expertise at the federal and Crown levels is desirable
• Hands on experience with business development, business case, and different types of consulting and/or transformation programs
• Significant experience in a leading management consulting or systems integration/solution provider firm or senior client/industry role in the public sector developing and delivering transformational programs and demonstrating knowledge of strategy, operations and technology used by public sector clients to serve their stakeholders
• Relationships within DND and CAF would be an asset
• Successfully have supported clients adopting new ways of working, and the impacts this has on operating model, culture and people
• Proven track record in greenfield development of accounts and service offerings
• Familiar with federal government buying practices and large scale procurement
• Track record building trust with client and industry relationships
• Direct experience winning and delivering projects within: Strategy, Service Delivery Transformation, Transformation enabled by technology, Citizen Service Modernization, Operational Excellence, Performance Improvement.
• Highly capable to manage and deliver significant business results that reflect strategic and creative thinking, individual initiative and motivating teams
• Demonstrated capability in thought leadership, new business development and repeat engagements with valued clients, including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities
• Motivated to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members and foster a productive teamwork environment
• Ability to effectively lead pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client requirements
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• Fluent in English, French would be an asset
