These individuals analyse client needs, develop operational strategies, and offer guidance and support to help clients streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive business performance.As an operations consulting generalist at PwC, you will possess a broad understanding of various aspects of operations consulting. You will provide comprehensive guidance and support to clients in optimising operational efficiency and effectiveness. Working in this area, you will analyse client needs, develop operational solutions, and offer recommendations tailored to specific business requirements.A career within the Financial Services Banking Operations team will provide you with the opportunity to use data, technology and industry expertise to design strategies and operating models that maximize business value and reduce risk for our clients. We advise leading Canadian financial institutions (e.g., Banks, Insurers, Credit Unions) on a wide variety of strategic and operational issues as well as design and implement transformational journeys that ensure our clients stay competitive during a dynamic and challenging time of change.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Financial Services, Banking Transformation, Consulting - Manager you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead delivery of client projects from project scoping to conclusion, while exceeding client expectations
• Manage multiple timelines and projects within budget while coaching other team members and improving team performance
• Understand our client's business and strategies through data collection, interviews, formulating and testing hypotheses
• Convert complex data into meaningful insights with qualitative and/or quantitative evidence
• Communicate information effectively in written and verbal formats
• Embrace change and opportunities to be exposed to different situations, environments and perspectives
• Upskilling for a digital world and technology trends and stay informed of emerging technologies
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Working experience in management consulting and preference towards financial services experience such as Banking
• Experience leading/supporting transformational programs across Bank functions including customer-interacting channels (e.g., branches, contact centres), self-serve channels (e.g., Mobile, Online) and corporate functions (e.g., Middle/Back Office, Risk, Legal, Fraud, AML, Finance, Audit)
• Knowledge of the bank's risk management constructs, including the 3 lines of defence model
• Ability to become a trusted advisor to clients by building and maintaining relationships
• Proven track record leading complex transformational and/or modernization and technology programs
• Experience leading strategic plans, target operating models, technology enablement roadmaps, including knowledge of problem solving and process improvement methodologies
• Understanding the evolution and new trends in technologies (e.g., GenAI, Machine Learning) and how these technologies can help to solve complex problems
• Working knowledge of SDLC methodology, data transformation and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik) and intelligent automation technologies (e.g., RPA, RDA, process mining)
• Experience leading white papers and thought leadership materials through research and data collection
• Lead practice development activities (e.g. new service offerings, training packages, recruiting initiatives, marketing)
• Lead business development activities, including writing proposals and presenting them to clients, and responding to RFPs
• Ability to manage competing priorities and manage ambiguity through client delivery
• Experience facilitating workshops with various types and levels of stakeholder
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people
• Self-motivated with a passion for client work and teamwork
