Purpose-led work you'll be part of

As a Finance Transformation Banking Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
• Work with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Transformation services
• Team up with Industry and Market teams to identify, qualify and develop Finance Transformation opportunities
• Lead proposal development process in Finance Transformation opportunities
• Lead the delivery of medium to large scale Finance Transformation engagements, including
• Finance technology enablement (ERP or similar implementation)
• Financial process analysis, design and implementation
• Alternative delivery model analysis, design and implementation (i.e. target operating models, such as shared services and outsourcing)
• Performance management optimization (i.e. reporting and analytics, planning, budgeting & forecasting, etc.)
• Finance vendor and software selection
• Support the engagement partner in managing engagement risk and project economics
• Prepare, review and ensure engagement deliverables meet PwC and client quality expectations
• Arrange and sponsor appropriate assignments and experiences to help people realize their potential and support their long-term aspirations
• Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions
• Look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments
• Create an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart
• I promote and encourage others to value difference when working in diverse teams
• Drive and take ownership for developing connections that help deliver what is best for our people and stakeholders
• Influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships which add value to the firm
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• Extensive consulting experience with sell, manage and deliver metrics
• Financial services industry experience is mandatory
• A balance of consulting and industry experience (Big 4 consulting background is an asset)
• Experience with ERP and/or Finance transformation implementation initiatives and projects
• Understanding of financial applications (i.e. General Ledger, Consolidation and Business Intelligence systems)
• Oracle experience is an asset
• Working expertise or strong understanding in many, if not all, of the core Finance areas of:
• Order-to-Cash - order entry, customer credit, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections,
• Procure-to-Pay - procurement, accounts payable, invoicing
• Record-to-Report - financial close, consolidation, financial reporting, Fixed Assets, disclosure reporting
• Plan & Budgeting - Plan, monitor and forecast
• Performance Management - management reporting, planning, budgeting & forecasting, analytics & decision support
• Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the core back office accounting areas (see above) in a consultant role.
• Demonstrated project management skills
